NEW FAIRFIELD — Volunteers from Saint Edward the Confessor Parish are teaming up with the nonprofit HomeFront to restore the dwelling of a regional Air Drive veteran and his relatives.

On June 4, a crew of volunteers will commit the day building improvements and repairs to the 81-calendar year-old’s home, where by he resides with his two grownup daughters and grandchildren.

Doris McDermott from Saint Edward the Confessor Parish reported extra than 30 volunteers have signed up to do the job with HomeFront — a Stamford-dependent corporation that offers totally free home repairs to minimal-cash flow householders — on the June 4 task.

In addition to the home’s residing room, dining place, corridor, kitchen, out of doors access ramp and back again deck, she stated volunteers will correct a cracked cement flooring in the garage and install a new storm doorway, ceiling fan and baseboard heater.
