I imagined I’d revisit an aged makeover that I just like! A single of my favorites essentially.
This coastal-type coffee desk makeover…
…that was how it started out.
Do you remember it?
I’m sharing it mainly because I’ve made a decision to improve it out for an ottoman. (scroll down to see it)
I am ready for a tiny modify-up.
Stained Coffee Table
But initially, let us have a small refresh of this table.
I made the decision to eliminate the finish from the leading and refinish it so I wouldn’t paint more than those pretty inlays.
This was an outdated bottle of Citristrip when it in fact employed to do the job truly well.
I really don’t use it any more. They transformed the method and it just does not do the job the way it employed to.

Anyway, off arrived that finish to expose that beautiful wood beneath.
I believed I wished to stain it this color… (water-dependent stain)
NOPE! I promptly wiped that back again off.
Then I imagined I’d whitewash it…
Nope! Ha! I did not like that possibly. Off came that as properly.
I enable it dry right away and made the decision to go with oil-centered stain rather.
I utilized a pre-stain very first, then Antique Walnut, wiping again nicely, then Basic Gray over that, also wiping again.
And WOW, it arrived out the great shade!
I painted the foundation white with a little bit of distressing.

I could not have been much more delighted! I just adore this table.
Gosh, now I really feel like I never want to modify it or enable it go!! lol
I may possibly have to retail store it though I engage in all over with this new piece for a whilst.

In other information, I experienced a unique visitor right now! (Weds) Christy from Confessions of a Serial DIYer!! Woohoo!
